How to Drink

Mezcal, whether artisanal or ancestral, is a celebratory spirit. Made by hand with great care and nurtured by the maestros themselves, we are honored to share Mezcal Vago with you, in good company.

Neat

As a spirit with a history spanning hundreds of years, we take great pride in drinking mezcal the way it was originally intended, in a copita, just as the mezcaleros do. This is a spirit to be savored, so slow sipping is suggested. To experience the full breadth of the Mezcal Vago portfolio, we recommend sipping mezcals from each of the Vago producers side-by-side. Take in their varying notes and aromas influenced by the terroir they come from and the maestro they were created by.

Cocktails

When not sipping neat, the right cocktail strikes a balance that enhances the mezcal’s notes. We recommend only using Elote and Espadín for cocktailing to reserve the integrity of limited batches and specialty editions. Crafted specially for Vago by mezcal mixologists, here are our favorites to enjoy.
